If our E.O.C. is activated for an event or impending emergency, (depending upon the severity) the E.O.C. will be staffed 24/7 at the discretion and direction of the EM Director.

We have a staff of two (2) and it is sometimes required that we are both out of the office at the same time. In this event, we can be reached through our communications/dispatch center, or on our mobile phones.

NOAA Weather Radios a Valuable Resource

As Hurricane Season gets underway, it is of the upmost importance for Madison County residents to begin preparing for inclement weather.  Residents are encouraged to obtain a NOAA "ALL-HAZARDS" WEATHER RADIO from a local hardware, electronics or supermarket vendor.  NOAA weather alerts can also be heard online, however Madison County residents are encouraged to obtain a radio as internet access cannot be guaranteed during a storm.  Please call the Emergency Management Office at 850-973-3698 for on-going information and updates.
